Background – When Courier Service Becomes a Business Risk
For any business, a courier partner is not just a vendor – they directly represent our brand in front of the customer. If a parcel is delayed, lost or not traceable, the customer doesn’t blame the courier company first – they blame us. That is exactly what started happening when we were using Shree Maruti Courier.
Our Experience with Shree Maruti Courier
- Local delivery taking two days
A simple local shipment from Dharwad – 580001 to Hubli – 580021 (barely a short highway drive) took two full days to deliver. For a “courier” service, this is just not acceptable in 2025. - Shipment still stuck in transit
One of our important shipments from Dharwad, Karnataka to Medchal, Telangana – 501401 (Document No. 25041100001184) kept hopping between hubs: Pune Kiwale → Hyderabad Shamshabad → Hyderabad Kompally, with multiple INSCAN and OUTSCAN updates – but still showing as “In Transit” instead of “Delivered”. We had no clear ETA to share with the customer. - Customer pressure & repeated calls
Because of these delays, our customers started calling continuously asking: “Where is my parcel?”, “Why is it still not delivered?”, “Can you send it by Blue Dart instead?”. In a few cases, we were forced to re-ship the same material again via Blue Dart at our own cost, just to protect the relationship.
What Other Users Are Saying About Shree Maruti Courier
When we checked public review platforms, we realised our case was not isolated. Here are some examples of recent user feedback:
- One reviewer calls it the “Worst or Fraud courier service” and writes that they would never use it again, alleging that customer support is unreachable and not a single contact number is active.
- Another customer describes the company as “most unreliable, especially the Gurgaon center”. Their parcel from Bangalore was reportedly delayed by three days after the due date, and according to the review it was delivered only after they somehow contacted the regional manager.
These are individual opinions, but the pattern is clear: delayed deliveries, weak communication and poor customer support. For a business that values its customers, this level of risk is simply too high.
Why We Moved Our Shipments to Blue Dart
After multiple bad experiences and customer complaints, we decided to stop experimenting and move our critical shipments to Blue Dart. The difference on the ground is very clear.
- More predictable delivery timelines
Within our service areas, Blue Dart has consistently delivered faster and closer to the promised date, especially for inter-city and metro routes. This helps us commit realistic timelines to our customers. - Better tracking & transparency
Blue Dart’s tracking system is more structured and easier to understand. Status updates are more meaningful, and customers can track shipments on their own without calling us every few hours. - Stronger brand trust
Blue Dart is a well-known express logistics brand used by many banks, e-commerce portals and enterprises. When customers see “Shipped via Blue Dart” on their invoice or tracking message, the confidence level is simply higher than with a lesser-known regional courier. - Customer-first approach
Is Blue Dart perfect? No. But whenever there is an issue, we have found their customer support more reachable and more professional compared to what we faced with Shree Maruti Courier.
Business Impact – Why This Decision Was Necessary
- Saved relationships: By shifting to Blue Dart, we reduced the number of angry follow-up calls and avoided losing loyal customers.
- Reduced hidden costs: Re-shipping parcels, answering repeated status calls and handling complaints consume time and money. A slightly higher courier charge is still cheaper than damaged reputation.
- Improved trust: When deliveries are on time and tracking is clear, customers automatically trust our brand more.
Our Policy Going Forward
Based on our experience and the feedback from multiple customers, we have:
- Removed Shree Maruti Courier from our list of active courier partners.
- Standardised Blue Dart for most important shipments where reliability and tracking are critical.
- Decided that any new courier partner will be onboarded only after proper testing of local deliveries, transit time and support response.
Final Thoughts
Courier charges can be negotiated. Customer trust cannot.
If a courier company cannot handle even short-distance deliveries properly and parcels keep getting stuck in transit hubs, the long-term damage to the brand is far more expensive than any small cost saving on freight.
We hope Shree Maruti Courier improves their network and service in the future, but as of now, we are not willing to take that risk with our customers’ shipments. For us, Blue Dart has proven to be the safer and more reliable choice.
